Managing Your Will
Learn how to upload, update, and manage your will documents and location information securely on The International Will Registry.
Add Your Will Document
Register your will by clicking the "Add New Will" button on your My Wills page. You'll need to provide:
Required Information:
- Will Title - A descriptive title for your will document (e.g., 'My Last Will and Testament 2025')
- Description/Location - Describe your will document, its purpose, and where the original document is stored. Include details about beneficiaries, assets, or special instructions
Optional Information:
- File Attachment - Upload scanned copies or photos of your will document (PDF, JPG, PNG, DOC, DOCX supported). You can upload up to 5 files
Edit Will Details
You can update your will information at any time by clicking the Edit icon (pencil) next to any document in your My Wills table. This allows you to:
- Update the will title or description
- Change the storage location details
- Add new file attachments
- Remove existing file attachments
How to Edit:
- Navigate to Dashboard → My Wills
- Click the Edit iconon the document you want to update
- Update the Will Title or Description/Location as needed
- Add new files or remove existing ones using the file upload section
- Click Update Will to save your changes
Managing File Attachments
You can attach files to your will documents either when creating a new entry or when editing an existing one. Files help provide your Authorised Representatives with immediate access to important documents.
When to Upload Files:
- During Creation - Upload up to 5 files when you first create a will document using the Add New Will button
- During Editing - Add new files or remove existing ones. You can manage both new uploads and previously uploaded documents
Supported File Types:
- PDF documents - Recommended for official will documents
- Images - JPG, PNG for scanned documents or photos
- Word documents - DOC, DOCX for drafts or supporting notes
File Upload Tips
Delete or Remove Documents
If you need to remove a will document entry (for example, if you've created a new will and the old one is no longer relevant), you can delete it using the Delete iconin the My Wills table.
How to Delete:
- Navigate to Dashboard → My Wills
- Click the Delete iconon the document you want to remove
- Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears
