Accept Your Representative Invitation
Follow these steps to accept your invitation, set up your account, and understand your responsibilities as an Authorised Representative.
Check Your Email Invitation
When someone designates you as their Authorised Representative, you'll receive an email invitation from The International Will Registry. This email contains all the information you need to get started.
What's in the Email?
Your invitation email includes:
- • Who invited you - The name of the Will Owner
- • Your role details - What it means to be an Authorised Representative
- • Login credentials - Temporary password (new users) or magic link (existing users)
- • Expiration date - You have 7 days to accept
- • Next steps - Instructions on what to do
Time Limit
Invitations expire after 7 days. If you don't receive the email or it expires, ask the Will Owner to resend the invitation from their Representatives dashboard.
Create Account or Login
Depending on whether you're a new or existing user, you'll follow one of two paths to access your account.
New Users
If this is your first time using The International Will Registry, your email will include a temporary password.
- Click the login link in your email
- Enter your email address and temporary password
- You'll be prompted to create a new secure password
- Complete your profile with contact information (optional)
Existing Users
If you already have an account, you'll receive a magic link for quick access.
- Click the magic link in your email
- You'll be automatically logged in
- Navigate to your dashboard
- Proceed to accept the invitation
Security First
For new users: You must change your temporary password immediately after logging in. Choose a strong password with at least 6 characters, including one capital letter and one symbol (@, #, &).

Once logged in, you need to formally accept the invitation to activate your role as an Authorised Representative.
- Go to Dashboard (main menu)
- Click on Responsibilities in the sidebar
- You'll see your pending invitation with a Pending status
- Look for the invitation from the person who designated you
What You'll See

Common Issues & Solutions
I didn't receive the invitation email
Check your spam/junk folder. If still not found, ask the Will Owner to resend the invitation from their Representatives dashboard.
My invitation has expired
Invitations expire after 7 days. Contact the Will Owner and ask them to resend the invitation. They can do this from Dashboard → Representatives → Resend Invitation.
I can't log in with my temporary password
Make sure you're using the exact password from the email (copy/paste to avoid typos). Passwords are case-sensitive. If issues persist, use the "Forgot Password" link to reset.
I accepted but can't see will documents
Refresh the page or log out and log back in. If the issue persists, check that your status shows as Active in your Responsibilities dashboard.
